How does UV CTP Plate Works?



 




  • Plate Coating: A UV-sensitive coating is applied to the surface of the plate.

  • Exposure: The plate is exposed to UV light through a digital image mask created by a computer-to-plate (CTP) imaging system. The UV light selectively polymerizes the coating on the plate, creating the image areas.

  • Development: After exposure, the plate goes through a development process where the unexposed areas of the coating are washed away, revealing the image on the plate.

  • Mounting: Once developed, the plate is mounted onto the printing cylinder of the offset printing press.
